Bait Shop

2 minute Christmas light show every hour on the hour until December 24th, 2023 is a fun experience. Love the holiday themed decorations. My fav is the big mouth bass wall plaque with a santa hat. Happy hour French fries are thick cut, crispy, warm and creamy on the inside. My lemondade cocktail was just so-so. It tasted like canned lemon juice and little else. I would not recommend that. The waitress is very friendly and helpful. I noticed she greeted everyone with a smile and the a "Hi friend..."

Fun, lively place in the evenings/nighttime. Excellent bar food - and some really good fish options that never disappoint. THE FRIES ARE INCREDIBLE! As are the wings - juicy on the inside, crispy-crunch on the outside, and NEVER once have they been under done! I used to work next door and we would skip lunches during normal lunch time to order a few things of wings and fries to share once they'd open (they open later in the afternoon, but oh man, the wait was always worth it). Do you know what makes them even better? The owners are incredible, kind, genuine people, and are almost always there working alongside everyone else. The faces are familiar, the drinks are awesome, and the atmosphere always brings a smile to my face. Love this place!

The Bait Shop is a lovely clash of experiences - it feels both like a down-home small town bar and the epitome of what New Cap Hill could be. Although their cocktails aren't world-class, they really hit the spot and the vibe that they are going for. The popcorn chicken, on the other hand, IS world-class bar food. I highly recommend you make this a stop on your night out.

This is a good place. I came here with a friend and would be inclined to come by again. Our server was friendly and attentive. She kept an eye on our table and only approached about the check when she saw we were done eating. She did not crowd us or try to hurry us out. My friend observed that she seemed in a happy frame of mind, suggesting the management treats its employees well. I had the deviled eggs, french fries, and fish and chips. All were tasty. The deviled eggs came with a little extra sauce on their bottoms, which helped glue them to the plate and gave extra flavor. That was a neat touch. The Halloween decorations were lots of fun to view. The staff clearly put a lot of effort into them.

I bite through a treasured membrane and tear my way screaming. through this incessant dimming of our lights to see something different. torn. i will see something. i will see it as an animal. . . Im guided to a bench under this dim light and delivered options. i take one drink and i bite it i bite this drink as an animal, this is a place where animals are this is a place animals use their teeth . . the bartender talks to me and i tell her about the past. i have been wrapped in mirrors and left alone this is the future, a mirror is. a future where i can be an animal and do those vile things. . . i take another drink and this one i breath it vile thing. carbohydrates are ideal and sweet. thats refreshing, the animal i am takes it apart and puts it together and so on. i like that. i like the way the last of the mirror peels away from me and even though the lights are dimmed i can finally see you . . i bite at my arms and i bite at my legs and i watch your gaze as it scans over me. i stroke at that membrane and wonder what it was meant to keep fresh while we talk over my third drink
